Spilling the Tea or T is a phrase used to tell the truth, specifically in context of Gay Culture. The reference is also used the location of the show, Lubbock, Texas as a nod to the Dirty South and Southern Sweet Tea.

The selected work creates dissonance by depicting sorrow and exhaustion in vibrant color. The body is referenced in form and the idea of empathy as it is repressed in the everyday. The work show harsh honesty is valuable, because we delight in its perturbed directness.
